The Gardens at Lake Spivey

Completed in May 2005, the Gardens at Lake Spivey represents SECC’s first foray into an age-restricted (55 years of age or older) apartment development. The 10+ acre site, located in Clayton County, Georgia, was selected due to its convenient location to commercial and retail centers, health care facilities, and recreational facilities, such as the Lake Spivey golf course. The rectangular-shaped building was designed to create a private courtyard space for the residents, which houses the swimming pool, sun deck, barbecue grill areas, outdoor fireplace, landscaped gardens and walkpaths. The community will feature a wide range of amenities, including a fitness and aerobics center, 30-seat movie theatre, Oak Card and Game Room, Cherokee Rose library, salon/massage room, as well as the Magnolia Lounge with widescreen TV, game tables, billiards and sitting areas. There are 200 apartment homes in six floor plan styles, including both one and two bedrooms, ranging from approximately 600 square feet to 1,050 square feet. Each apartment home features gourmet kitchens, private patios or balconies, large closets, washer and dryer connections, and individual energy-efficient HVAC systems.
